Rev. Carla Sunberg is Pastor of Evangelism and Discipleship at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene in Fort Wayne, IN.

Prior to moving to Fort Wayne, Carla and her husband, Chuck, lived in Moscow Russia for 13 years, where they opened the work of the Church of the Nazarene in the former Soviet Union. During that time Carla worked as director of Compassionate Ministries, establishing non-profit centers in six countries, and later worked as Director of Theological Education, developing an educational program for more than 250 students in the former Soviet Union.

She currently serves as the Nazarene representative to and the president of Wesleyan/Holiness Women Clergy. She is a graduate of Mid-America Nazarene University, Nazarene Theological Seminary and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Nazarene Theological College and the University of Manchester (UK). She loves to teach and train leaders for the future of the church and has served as adjunct faculty for NTS and NNU. She has written numerous articles in religious periodicals and academically, served as co-editor of Wellspring and New Horizon’s magazines, and authored, Faxes from Russia.

She was born in Germany, the daughter of missionaries and speaks German, Russian and English. Her heartfelt passion is a life of holiness and service for the Lord. Chuck and Carla are proud parents of two adult daughters, Christa and Cara, who both love serving the Lord!
