Buddy became a Christ-follower on Easter Sunday 1980 and, after 17 successful years in the business community, was called to full-time ministry in 1986. He graduated from Nazarene Bible College Extension in 1993 and was also ordained an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene that same year. He served for two years on the staff of Harrisonburg Church of the Nazarene in Harrisonburg, Virginia as Youth Pastor and seven years with the Woodbridge Church of the Nazarene, located in Northern Virginia, as Pastor of Youth and Administration. Buddy began his ministry at Salem Fields Community Church in Fredericksburg, Virginia on March 5, 1995. Since then, the church’s weekly worship attendance has grown from 65 to 1800. Buddy’s primary responsibilities include preaching, vision-casting and providing leadership where needed.

Buddy is madly in love with his wife and best friend, Gaye. Together they strive to keep hope alive in their community and the world as they follow God and pastor SFCC as co-leaders. They have a daughter, Jodi, a son-in-law, Jason, 2 grandsons, Christian and Jackson, and a granddaughter, Gracie. Buddy’s hobbies include traveling with his wife and playing golf. His favorite singers are his wife, Gaye, and his daughter, Jodi.

Buddy's passion and purpose is: to become a whole person in Jesus Christ, to be a successful husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather and to reach unchurched people for the glory of God.
